[freeside-users] Self Service Signup.cgi First Package shows only
none

Update on this issue: I got it to work by adding a svc_acct type of service
to each package. The packages then appeared in the drop-down box. I suppose
this makes sense, but it was a little counterintuitive to me. My intended
use is wifi hotspot access, so I really wasn't thinking in terms of setting
up a shell account or any other account for every person that came through.
I just want to give them short-term access (24hr, for instance) via credit
card, and not track them as permanent customers. That said, if the only way
to do it is to set them up as a full blown customer, I can live with it.
FWIW, I stubbed my toe on a simple thing when setting up my radius export.
My radius/mysql box is a separate box (may change that), and debian installs
mysql with outside access disabled by default. In /etc/mysql/my.cnf,
changing bind address from 127.0.0.1 to 0.0.0.0 solved the problem. Shame on
me for not knowing about that to begin with. :-)

Hi,
You are supposed to create one package definition at least.
Packages are a bundle of one or more services that you sell your
clients. You also specify the billing rates etc in the package.
eg you could have a service called svc_domain and another called
svc_account.
Now you bundle these two together and offer a package called "Super Saver"
with setup fee at $10, anniversary billing, billing frequency monthly and
recurring fee $19.10
This should now turn up in your signup page. In fact it should show up
even if you dont configure the signup server.
