You must be new to the way things work around here. Free code is
free code. Some people derive no benefit from it, but a lot of people get
much more than they paid for. If you _expect_ free hand-holding for free
code, you will usually be disappointed. If you approach the author in a
humble way that let's them know you are asking a big favor for a little
extra attention, you will often get it, but it depends mostly on your
attitude and secondarily on the author's work load and desire for a life
away from the keyboard.

If the free code doesn't work for you, or your timetable requires faster
progress, you move on and find another solution. Flaming the author for
not holding your hand will earn you the reputation of being ungrateful and
you'll have a harder time getting help from others. Will you flame me for
not helping you on usr-tc, or inet-access or linux-isp or freebsd-isp
or...?

Keep it up and you'll get into lot's of helpful peoples' procmail
filters so your cries for help won't even be heard by those in the best
position to help you through. That's how things work around here.
