I am trying to setup the Selfservice server on a seperate computer. I have worked through the install docs, but I am stuck. When I go to my selfservice webpage it says
Software error:
connect to /usr/local/freeside/selfservice_socket: Connection refused at /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.0/FS/SelfService.pm line 144.

For help, please send mail to the webmaster ( webmaster at localhost ), giving this error message and the time and date of the error.

I then looked at the log file and it says

[Tue Oct 19 12:25:43 2010] [3696] sending TERM signal to ssh process 6425
[Tue Oct 19 12:25:43 2010] [3696] connection lost, reconnecting
[Tue Oct 19 12:25:43 2010] [4455] connecting to 192.168.0.201

[Tue Oct 19 12:25:43 2010] [4455] receiving packet from client

[Tue Oct 19 12:25:43 2010] [4455] sending TERM signal to ssh process 6426
[Tue Oct 19 12:25:43 2010] [4455] connection lost, reconnecting

I am running storable version 2.18 on both computers.

I can ssh from each computer to the other without getting asked for any passwords.

The only difference that I can see is that on the billing computer the /usr/local/freeside/selfservice_socket permissions has an s for the file type and in the selfservice machine it doesn't have that designation.

Billing System
-rw-r--r-- 1 freeside freeside 111688 2010-04-23 11:17 selfservice.log
srwxr-xr-x 1 freeside freeside 0 2010-04-23 11:17 selfservice_socket
-rw-r--r-- 1 freeside freeside 5 2010-04-23 11:17 selfservice_socket.pid
-rw-r--r-- 1 freeside freeside 0 2010-04-23 11:17 selfservice.writelock

SelfService System
-rwxr-xr-x 1 freeside freeside 0 2010-10-19 10:16 selfservice_socket

I am using Debian Lenny on the selfservice machine with the VM for freeside version 1.9.4.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

Brian
