[freeside] pslatex error on Solaris 8

further to that,
my httpsd environment (with a printenv script) shows the following:
DOCUMENT_ROOT="/usr/local/apache/htdocs"
GATEWAY_INTEREFACE="CGI/1.1"
HTTPS="on"
