  Subject: [freeside] Connection Refused?

  Freeside 1.3.1

Hello. I've just followed the instructions at http://www.sisd.com/freeside/docs/install.html I'm using PostgreSQL and made a new database called "freeside", created by user "freeside".

Whenever I try to run cust_main.cgi or run one of the final installation steps (running 'fs-setup freeside'), I get the following error:

  "Software error:
DBI->connect error: PQconnectPoll() -- connect() failed: Connection refused"

I assumed this meant the scripts weren't running as freeside's permissions, or the database [despite being made by user freeside] isn't writeable by user freeside. The previous doesn't really explain the fs-setup problem though.

Does anyone know what I may look into? This is the first time I've used databases at all, and it's a bit overwhelming.

  Adrian
