I no longer use MySQL.  I use PostgreSQL.  It would be great if some of
the folks who have sucessfully gotten MySQL working with transactions
could contribute their knowledge to the documentation.

As per the message below, for assistance with DBD::mysql, please
subscribe
to the DBD::mysql mailing list.  See the `MAILING LIST SUPPORT' section
of
the DBD::mysql manpage.  Once you get DBD::mysql working properly with
transactions enabled, give Freeside a try again.
