can't locate object method "connect" via package "DBI"

hi all
I have this problem:
I'm trying to compile my simple script with perlcc
filename.pl. , during the compile no 
errors or warning arrive but when I try to execute the
script compiled this is the message:
can't locate object method "connect" via package
"DBI".
I'm using perl 5.005.03 and DBI 1.14 (I also tryed
with 1.13) and MySQL under Linux redhat 6.1
Any suggestion and help would be most appreciated is
very important for me!
