shell interface

I'm kinda old fashion, i do almost everything thru shell.  I just find the
web interface not as interactive as it can be (well save some Java coding
to enhance that, but still).  

Any how, anyone doing a perlmenu type UI for freeside?

on a side note, who is actually using Freeside in a production
environment?
