It is okay to send patches up to about 400K to the mailing list.  If we 
need more, we can raise the size limit.


For reference concerning contributions:

The best way to contribute would be a git pull request against our repo, 
with each logical change separate.

Alternative ways would be patches sent to this mailing list (unified 
diff please) or git pull requests against the github repo mirror (for 
corporate folks behind very restrictive firewalls).

In all casees keeping each logical change separate would be appreciated, 
but if you find this burdensome it is always better to send what you 
have sooner rather than later.  Someone else might always be able to 
help.
