Hi all,
I did see this page:
http://www.sisd.com/mediawiki/index.php/Freeside:Support:Consultants
Just wondering if anyone else on the list does config/migration work.
Installation help not really needed at this point, and I'd rather install
it myself so I have some idea of what's going on and what's where.
I'm sure Ivan does good work, but to be honest we can't afford him. I'd
also like to find someone in the northeast or NYC so we don't have to
pay for travel. Money would probably not be an issue if we'd have
switched out our current VB monstrosity years ago. :)
The more I dig into the legacy system, the more money I'm finding gone.
I'm trying to push Freeside and I'm having a hard time convincing folks
that free != free as far as my time is concerned.
We've got less than 1500 customers to migrate. We could also do this by
hand if someone could give us a good training/primer on how to get our
services and exports setup. Everything is pretty standard here; Covad
DSL, web hosting (apache), email (vpopmail), DNS (BIND), dialup
(Freeradius/outsourced dial ports). I think we're mainly looking for
initial setup/config and some basic training for me and our main billing
person.
If you're interested, please contact me for details.
Thanks,
Charles
