Thanks. That, of course, works.
Seems odd, since BIND doesnt require a hostname on each line.
But then again, BIND recognizes '1D' and '1W' type notations
for SOA, too, but Freeside doesnt.

It does, and often a zone would be started with
@ IN SOA nameserver. postmaster. ( 200301011 12H 1H 1W 1D )
but you need not normally specify that @ on each
subsequent line, as it is the default until
changed.
