Problems Setting up initial administration of Freeside-1.4.0pre3

Good morning.

I am testing Freeside-1.4.0pre3, and have gotten as far as adding the
first service definition.  Up to here, all has proceded without
incident.  Here is my setup:
Apache_1.3.20, perl-5.6.1, mod_perl-1.2.5 CGI.pm-2.78, Postgresql-7.1.3 DBI-1.20,
DBD-Pg-1.01, Apache-ASP-2.21, running under NetBSD-1.5.1-i386.

It may be significant here that I am using lynx, and therefore have no
support for Java.  Here is what I am seeing:
I go to + View/Edit  service definitions 
Add a new service definition
In the service field I give the service a name, I choose svc_domain as
the table, and procede down to add, and submit the request.  From my
reading of docs, this is my first step.  Following this, I see a
redirect, to /freeside-asp/edit and get a listing of this directory.
There are no errors in the apache error_log, but clearly something is
not happy.  Am I missing something, do I have a problem because I am
not using Java, something else?  I hope I have provided sufficient
information to help diagnose.  Thanks for any pointers.
