Trouble

You are receiving this error from the adminsuidsetup subroutine in UID.pm:

	croak "Not running uid freeside!" unless checkeuid();

checkeuid() (again in UID.pm) looks like:

	sub checkeuid { # returns true if euid is freeside.
	  ( $> == $freeside_uid );
	}

and $freeside_uid is defined as:

	my($freeside_uid)=scalar(getpwnam('freeside'));

So I'm a bit mystified as to why you would receive this error if you are
logged in as the "freeside" user.
