Yes please; please post your changes for review.

Everything is applied to the main branch / HEAD.
Optionally, you can also backport & simultaneously apply those changes
to FREESIDE_1_7_BRANCH,, if they're appropriate for the stable branch.
We're getting a bit more conservative with the stable branch, especially
for big changes, as we've been starting to move folks to 1.9. Probably
will do one more 1.7.x release (or just call it 1.8.0) and mostly do
maintenance/bugfixes only there by the end of the year.

Mostly I just install one or the other when I want to test that branch.
Lately I've also been using Linux-vserver (like FreeBSD jails, or
Solaris zones). Gave up on vmware for anything except Windows for IE
testing; was too heavy & slow.
