[freeside-devel] 1.5.8 released; seeking 1.6.* series maintainer

Hi,

With the release of 1.5.8 (see my message to the -users list for
changelog and details), I think it is time to make a schema-stable 1.6.*
series, and I'm looking for a maintainer for these releases.

The idea is that 1.6.* would be a maintenance branch, like 1.4.* was,
that provides bug fixes and unobtrusive/low-risk additions like new
exports.

You might also backport highly-demanded and not-too-huge features as
long as the code still worked with the 1.6.0 schema (for example, CVV2
support was backported to 1.4.2, but you could still upgrade to 1.4.2
without changing your schema, you just wouldn't get the new features).

You would start by soliciting feedback about any bugs or problems with
1.5.8 over the next month or two, and making a "1.6.0" release, based on
(or possibly unchanged from) 1.5.8.

Work has me charging forward with the Scary Big Changes on HEAD/1.7.*,
but I'd really like for there to still be a stable, maintained release
for the community too. I hope someone can step up to take this on.

Please reply or grab me on IRC sometime to talk more if you're
interested.
