The author of FreeIPdb expressed interest in integration but didn't have
any time to contribute toward making it happen. I said the same thing
to Kristian about FreeIPdb when he started working on the svc_broadband
and addr_block stuff, but since he actually went and did the work (and
nobody else did), that carried more weight than our empty suggestions.

Perhaps, but nobody implemented that, and Kristian did implement the
svc_broadband stuff. I'm not really interested in changing direction at
the 90% mark and starting over, so unless someone does the work to
integrate FreeIPdb to the level of what Kristian has written, we'll
stick with what we've got.

I'd still be interested in a full or partial merger with FreeIPdb code
should someone be interested in contributing the work. I'm most
interested in their Perl module code for handling IPs and netblocks,
somewhat less interested in their database schema (at the very least, it
would have to get some foreign keys and history tables added), and
rather uninterested in using their web interface. But again, the
preferences of someone actually doing the work probably carry more
weight than mine. :)
